My Instagram live for the Tickled Pink art show is up!
Curator Veronica Clements interviewed me yesterday to talk about my mixed media piece, Wirehaired Me.
Check it out now right here:
Interview: Artistic Process, Puppets, And Humor
Veronica asked me about my artistic process, especially in making mixed media art. In the video, you’ll find out the surprising start for Wirehaired Me, the “recycled inspiration” behind it.
We also talked about my longtime love of the color yellow, why cherished childhood toys are so important at every age, and how I cultivate joy and humor into everyday life.

Tickled Pink presents work in many media by 68 artists from across the United States as well as the UK and Korea. The show addresses themes of joy, humor, and color and the importance of being radically optimistic – even in a cynical world.
The show runs July 1 through 31.
Tickled Pink Bingo
As you’ll hear in the Insta video, Woman Made Gallery will host Tickled Pink Bingo on Saturday, July 29, from 5 to 7 p.m.
Everyone is welcome to attend, and drinks will be provided with a $5 suggested donation.
I will attend the bingo party. So if you’re in Chicago that evening, stop by, play bingo, and say hello.
